The 3 Nations brewery history

Humble beginnings

Our fresh take on the old-world style, we start with the basics: hops, malt, water and yeast. Aroma is the first feature to note with our brews, as we tend to use spices in the final minutes of our process. This late addition allows the hops and spices to better fuse together to create a bold aroma that shocks the senses before that first swig. The lineup of spices often includes grapefruit peel, orange peel, lemon peel, and coriander, among others. Timing is everything. We allow our beers to age in the tank long enough for the yeast to reabsorb harsh flavors and aromas. Patience is a key ingredient in the recipe for success. We get the product in your hands with the highest possible quality.

Quality is never sacrificed in our brewing process. While individual palates may vary, we are committed to ensuring that our brews are of the highest quality.  We don’t take brewing shortcuts, and instead give great care to each beer to safeguard the production of consistent, flavorful beer.

Historic Downtown Carrollton

The brainchild of Gavin Secchi, 3 Nations started in a small, unairconditioned warehouse in a dry area of Farmers Branch, TX.  Two years later, our first taproom opened with the approval of the city.  We quickly outgrew our location and the city of Carrollton offered 3 Nations an opportunity for a new home in Historic Downtown Carrollton.  The grain shed was built in 1950 and was not suited for much other than being a grain shed.  With some imagination and hard work, and support from the City of Carrollton and her residents, our brewery would become a destination location for many craft beer lovers.

Downtown Carrollton offers great restaurants like Babe’s Chicken, Cane Rosso, Twisted Root, Amici’s Fine Italian, El Rincon Mexican, Rainbow Grill, and C2 Café.  There are antique shops, photography studios, salons and entertainment such as Axe Throwing and events at the historic Plaza Theatre.  It is located at a DART train station and the Cottonbelt Train will soon roll through our area on its way to DFW Airport and Fort Worth.  Just ask any resident from one of the 1,500 apartments and living spaces nearby, Downtown Carrollton is a great place to spend a nice evening or a Saturday.

Award Winning Brewery

We have been fortunate to be recognized for being a community leader, a successful business and, most of all, for brewing great beer. We are grateful for the recognition and are committed to working hard to meeting expectations that others have placed on us.

  • 2019 Dallas Observer’s “Best of Dallas” Brewery of the Year
  • 2019 Farmers Branch Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year
  • 2020 CultureMap Dallas Brewery of the Year
  • 2020 Metrocrest Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year

Industry awards are not something we strive for, but rather it is recognition that is given to hard work.  There are so many great breweries in North Texas and our goal is become a “best of brewery” on a long-term basis providing value, fun and great beer in Historic Downtown Carrollton.
